Invisalign
Invisalign is a new system of straightening teeth without the use of conventional braces. A series of clear plastic aligners are utilized to create tooth movement. Moving teeth with removable aligners is not new. However, the computer program, which can generate a series of aligners with small changes is the new part. Invisalign is recommended for orthodontic situations with mild to moderate spacing or crowding. They are virtually undetectable, easy to use and comfortable to wear. This is a wonderful technology for adults especially and allows more normal eating function, cleaning, needed dental work and smiling when necessary for social interactions. It is not always capable of completely meeting the orthodontic needs of each case though - without at least some traditional brackets or other normal orthodontic appliances. We always recommend that an orthodontic specialist do this for you and will refer you to one for this analysis so that you can easily have all procedures necessary accomplished in one office to finish your case perfectly.
